Cambridge consortium weds academics and companies

On July 28, a group of academic and industry partners announced they have joined forces to form the Cambridge, U.K.-based Therapeutics Consortium to create a one-stop shop where companies and researchers can find the best partner for their project and set up collaborations without the headache of negotiating a new agreement each time.
Such master agreements are uncommon for networks involving multiple academic institutions, although the University of California Biomedical Research Acceleration, Integration and Development (UC BRAID) program is currently seeking an industry partner for an agreement that would span several institutions.
