A mouse model of pollen-induced rhinitis could help screen compounds to treat allergic rhinitis. Mice exposed intranasally to crude Japanese cedar pollen 10 times during 30 days showed the sneezing, high serum IgE levels, high numbers of eosinophils in nasal alveolar fluids and other symptoms characteristic of human pollen allergies.
