Biogen R&D head Williams leaving for start-up

Biogen Inc. (NASDAQ:BIIB) said EVP of R&D Douglas Williams will leave the company at the end of July to become CEO of an undisclosed start-up focused on cancer diagnostics and therapy. Williams will be the newco's first employee.

CMO Alfred Sandrock and CSO Spyros Artavanis-Tsakonas will lead Biogen's R&D. The company declined comment. ...
