Epizyme raises $77 million in IPO

Cancer company Epizyme Inc. (NASDAQ:EPZM) raised $77.1 million in an IPO on Thursday through the sale of more shares than it had proposed last week at the upper end of its proposed range. The company sold 5.1 million shares at $15, which values the company at $414.7 million. Last week, Epizyme said it planned to sell 4.3 million shares at $13-$15. In April, Epizyme proposed to raise up to $69 million in the offering. Citigroup; Cowen; Leerink; JMP Securities; and Wedbush are underwriters. Epizyme, which is slated to begin trading on NASDAQ on Friday, marks the fifteenth biotech IPO so far in 2013 (see BioCentury, May 27). ...
