Icahn gains Forest seat on second try

Forest Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:FRX) shareholders reelected nine of the company's 10 incumbent board members on Wednesday, but replaced one with a nominee from activist investor Carl Icahn, according to preliminary voting results. Pierre Legault, one of Icahn's four nominees, will replace Dan Goldwasser, who has been a Forest director since 1977. Legault is president and CEO of business development firm Stone Management. Goldwasser was the second most tenured Forest board member behind Chairman, President and CEO Howard Solomon, who has served on the board since 1964. ...
