BioInvent, THR discontinue TB-402

Shares of BioInvent International AB (SSE:BINV) and ThromboGenics N.V. (Euronext:THR) fell on Tuesday after the partners discontinued development of anticoagulant TB-402 following negative safety data from a Phase IIb trial. In 632 patients undergoing hip replacement surgery, the recombinant human mAb targeting Factor VIII led to a significantly higher incidence of bleeding events compared to Xarelto rivaroxaban.
