AFFX, INCY settle suits

Affymetrix (AFFX) and Incyte (INCY) settled their 2 ongoing lawsuits by cross-licensing their respective IP portfolios. A 1998 AFFX suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California claimed that INCY subsidiary Synteni Inc. infringed AFFX's patents related to high density DNA microarrays made using a solid surface (U.S. Patents Nos. 5,445,934; 5,744,305; 5,800,992; 5,871,928; and 6,040,193).
