Diversa raises $200.1 million

DVSA, which is identifying and optimizing enzymes from uncultured organisms from diverse natural environments, raised $200.1 million through the sale of 8.34 million shares at $24 per share in its IPO, underwritten by Bear Stearns; Chase H&Q; and Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown. The sale includes the 1.09 million-share overallotment. The company initially filed in December to raise up to $85 million, and amended the filing twice, most recently on Feb. 9 to sell 7 million shares at $20-$22. ...
