NIH seeking new leadership for Clinical Center

NIH is restructuring management at its Clinical Center and recruiting a CEO, CMO and COO, the agency told BioCentury. The changes were recommended by a working group NIH Director Francis Collins commissioned to evaluate patient safety and compliance concerns at the research hospital (see BioCentury Extra, June 4, 2015).

NIH hopes to model the center's management on the leadership structure of other top U.S. hospitals. It said current Director John Gallin and his team "will continue their leadership" at the center.
