ASCO voices concerns about treatment pathways

The American Society of Clinical Oncology issued a policy statement on Tuesday voicing concerns that clinical treatment pathways for cancer are "being developed and implemented today in a manner that may impede delivery of high-quality cancer care."

ASCO said cancer pathways are "not developed or applied consistently by insurers and other pathway creators" and said pathways' development process is not transparent.
