BIA's global vision for U.K.

The U.K.'s BioIndustry Association published a report benchmarking how the nation's biotech sector could be transformed by creating a cluster on the scale achieved by Boston and California, provided key areas of the ecosystem are revitalized.

"A vision for the UK life sciences sector in 2025" sets out five ambitions for the U.K. sector to achieve by 2025: deliver global benefits via improved health; become a distinct and differentiated cluster by building on the U.K.'s health assets such as the NHS and science capabilities; build a commercial innovation pyramid that consists of large cap, mid-cap and start-up companies; attract and retain global management talent; and become Europe's clear leader as a biotech hub. ...
