NIH to provide longer term grants for investigators

NIH is introducing longer-term grants to provide "more sustained support" to investigators than the agency's historical, project-based grants. In a blog National Cancer Institute's Outstanding Investigator Award, which will provide up to $600,000 annually for up to seven years to investigators with "extraordinary records of cancer research productivity and who propose to conduct exceptional research."
