HHS giving buffer day for exchanges

On Monday, the Obama administration said that despite the Dec. 23 deadline, consumers will have through the end of Tuesday, Dec. 24 to select plans through healthcare exchanges for coverage starting Jan. 1. A spokeswoman for CMS said "anticipating high demand, which we indeed saw starting early Monday morning, and the fact that consumers may be enrolling from multiple time zones, we have taken steps to make sure that those who select a plan through tomorrow will get coverage for Jan 1." ...
