Texas institute awards $85M for cancer research

The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas awarded $85 million in grants to support cancer research projects at 15 academic and medical centers in Texas. Three centers received more than $10 million in total grants; the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas received $18.5 million, Baylor College of Medicine received $14.3 million, and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center received $21.9 million.
