Attorney in FDA whistleblower suit wins $104M award for former banker

Stephen Kohn, one of the attorneys representing current and former FDA employees in a whistleblower suit against the agency, on Tuesday won a whistleblower award of $104 million for a former banker who blew the whistle on taxpayer fraud. Kohn and fellow attorney Dean Zerbe said in a joint statement that the IRS made the award to Bradley Birkenfeld, a former banker at UBS, for providing the U.S. Government with insider information on an illegal offshore banking scheme. ...
