PCORI to host workshops on research agenda

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) announced three planned workshops in October and December to discuss its draft process for generating and selecting research topics. On Oct. 27-28, PCORI will host a workshop focused on the patient's role in the institute's work, including the development of policies to ensure patient participation in identifying research questions and reviewing funding proposals.

A second workshop on Dec. 4 will solicit recommendations for specific research topics and test PCORI's draft process for determining which topics could be the basis of future funding announcements.
