Bid to keep German drug prices confidential fails

The lower house of the German Parliament passed an omnibus healthcare bill on Thursday without a provision that sought to keep confidential the drug prices negotiated under AMNOG, the country's drug pricing law. The Christian Democratic Party (CDU), which had proposed adding the provision to the bill, does not plan to pursue the matter further, according to a spokesperson from the office of Jens Spahn, a member of Parliament who is the CDU spokesperson for health (see BioCentury, April 9). ...
