U.K. unveils strategy to support life sciences innovation

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron unveiled a strategy to increase innovation in life sciences in the U.K., including the three-year, L180 million ($281.4 million) Biomedical Catalyst fund. The fund will target investments in university research, as well as commercial development in small- to medium-sized companies. Cameron also announced plans for an early access scheme to increase the speed and efficiency of regulatory and health technology assessment pathways. Details were not disclosed. ...
