GAVI commits $100M to supply meningitis vaccine

The Global Alliance for Vaccine Immunization (GAVI) committed $100 million to supply the MenAfriVac meningitis A vaccine in Cameroon, Chad and Nigeria. The vaccine is slated to be distributed in the countries next half. MenAfriVac is an existing vaccine optimized against strains of meningitis A that circulate in Africa.
