Stem cell newco Magenta raises $48.5M

Magenta Therapeutics (Cambridge, Mass.) raised $48.5 million in a series A round led by Third Rock Ventures and Atlas Venture. GV, Access Industries and Partners Innovation Fund also participated.

By developing a three-part platform, Magenta hopes to broaden the range of patients eligible for stem cell transplant and increase the procedure's efficacy.
