NantHealth, Clearside rise after pricing IPOs

NantHealth Inc. (NASDAQ:NH) and Clearside Biomedical Inc. (NASDAQ:CLSD) each posted gains in their first day of trading Thursday after pricing IPOs.

NantHealth gained $4.59 (33%) to $18.59 after it raised $91 million through the sale of 6.5 million shares at $14, the midpoint of its proposed range. The price valued NantHealth at $1.6 billion. Underwriters are Jefferies, Cowen, First Analysis Securities, Canaccord Genuity and FBR Capital Markets. The personalized medicine, bioinformatics and IT company filed in early May to raise up to $92 million. The company is the second in Patrick Soon-Shiong's NantWorks network to go public, after the July 2015 IPO of NantKwest Inc. (NASDAQ:NK) (see BioCentury Extra, July 28, 2015). ...
