Weill's $185M gift creates UCSF neuroscience institute

The University of California San Francisco said the Weill Family Foundation and Joan and Sanford Weill donated $185 million to establish the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. The university said the donation is its largest-ever gift.

UCSF said the institute will aim to develop new therapies for brain and nervous system diseases, including psychiatric disorders.
