Imara raises $31M, licenses sickle cell therapies

Sickle cell play Imara Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.) raised a tranched $31 million series A round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Pfizer Venture Investments, Lundbeckfond Ventures, Bay City Capital and Alexandria Venture Investments also participated. The size of the tranche was not disclosed.
