Just Biotherapeutics raises $15M in series A

Just Biotherapeutics Inc. (Seattle, Wash.) raised $15 million in a series A financing from Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK); Lilly Asia Ventures; and Arch Venture Partners. The newco said it is developing technology for developing and manufacturing biologics that will lower production costs.

Just also said it has partnered with Merck to develop such technologies. The biotech said it is exploring collaborations with Arch and Lilly Asia Ventures to apply its technology to products for the China market; it also plans to use the technology for products in developed markets, both independently and via partnerships. ...
