Capital One buys GE's healthcare lending business for $9B

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE:COF) will pay $9 billion to acquire the Healthcare Financial Services unit of General Electric Capital Corp. The price is equal to the unit's $8.5 billion in healthcare-related loans plus a 6% premium.

The unit of General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE) finances U.S. healthcare businesses including pharmaceutical and device companies, healthcare and seniors housing services, medical offices and hospitals. ...
