Atara raises $55M in IPO

Atara Biotherapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:ATRA) was down $0.35 to $10.65 in its first day of trading Thursday after it raised $55 million through the sale of 5 million shares at $11 in an IPO. The price valued Atara at $213.4 million. Goldman Sachs; Citigroup; and Jeffries are underwriters.

In July, Atara planned to sell 5 million shares at $14-$16. At $15, the company would have raised $75 million and been valued at $291 million. ...
