Propeller raises $14.5 million in B round

Propeller Health (Madison, Wis.) raised $14.5 million in a series B round led by new investor Safeguard Scientifics Inc. (NYSE:SFE). Existing investor The Social+Capital Partnership also participated along with undisclosed investors.

Propeller is developing a wireless sensor that attaches to an inhaler to monitor patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The sensor tracks medication use and syncs with Propeller's mobile health applications to help track patient symptoms and adherence.
