Medicines Co. to sell 5.5 million shares

The Medicines Co. (NASDAQ:MDCO) proposed late Monday to sell 5.5 million shares in a follow-on underwritten by JPMorgan; BofA Merrill Lynch; and Leerink. If sold at The Medicines Co.'s close of $32.14 on Monday, the company would raise about $166.7 million.
