Ambit raises $25 million in E round

Ambit Biosciences Corp. (San Diego, Calif.) raised $25 million in the first tranche of a planned $50 million series E round. Existing investor OrbiMed Advisors led the tranche. Existing investors Aisling Capital; Apposite Healthcare; Roche Ventures; GrowthWorks; MedImmune Ventures; Forward Ventures; GIMV ; and Radius Ventures also participated.
