Biotech tumbles

The BioCentury 100 Index dropped 4.6% on Monday, with 79 stocks declining compared to 16 gaining. Big drops in the BC100 on Monday included antibody play Abgenix (ABGX), off $5.72 (17%) to $27.53; protoemics company Myriad (MYGN), down $7.22 (15%) to $41.37; and infectious disease play Gilead (GILD), off $7.13 (13%) to $49.50. No gainers in the BC100 were up more than 5%. The NASDAQ and DJIA were off 2.7% and 0.6%, respectively. ...
