Genmab scoops up $40.5 million

Human antibody company Genmab (Copenhagen, Denmark), raised $40.5 million in the largest European venture round this year. Investors in Genmab included Index Ventures; Apax Europe; Lombard Odier; BankInvest; Lonmodtagernes Dyrtidsfond; Dansk Erhvervsinvestering; and parent Medarex (MEDX). Five U.S. companies have raised more, with the largest round this year going to pharmacogenomics play diaDexus, which raised $102.5 million. ...
