Biogen short on EPS

BGEN reported first quarter earnings after the market close on Monday. Net income was $121.4 million ($0.77 diluted) compared to $45.7 million ($0.29 diluted) in the first quarter of 1999. First quarter 2000 numbers included about $90 million ($0.36) in gains from security sales. Taking out the security gains leaves BGEN's $0.41 diluted EPS $0.02 short of the $0.43 consensus EPS estimate. ...
