AZ, Sanofi swap 210,000 compounds

AstraZeneca plc (LSE:AZN; NYSE:AZN) and Sanofi (Euronext:SAN; NYSE:SNY) said they will exchange 210,000 chemical compounds from their libraries. The partners said no payments were associated with the transfer, and there are no restrictions on disease areas they may investigate.

AZ and Sanofi also said they would share chemical structure and synthetic procedures to facilitate use of the compounds. They said each company will provide enough material for its partner to "carry out high throughput screening for several years." ...
