J&J partners with Yale to vet data requests

The Janssen Research and Development LLC unit of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) partnered with the Yale School of Medicine Open Data Access (YODA) project to screen requests for clinical trial data for Janssen products. YODA will independently review and make final decisions on all requests for the pharma's clinical trial data, including clinical study reports and de-identified patient-level data.YODA will create an external panel of non-J&J experts to help assess requests. J&J said researchers can request data prospectively and retrospectively from trials for Janssen products approved in the U.S. and Europe or that were terminated during development as well as trials that have been accepted for publication.
