Japan approves Eylea for wet AMD

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) approved an application from Bayer AG (Xetra:BAYN) for Eylea aflibercept to treat wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Bayer and partner Santen Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Tokyo:4536; Osaka:4536) will co-promote Eylea in Japan, with a launch planned for this year. The price is not yet disclosed. ...
