G-BA agrees with IQWiG on Yervoy, Fampyra

Germany's Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) issued final assessments for Yervoy ipilimumab and Fampyra fampridine on Thursday that were in line with preliminary assessments from the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG). G-BA said Yervoy from Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY) provides an "important additional benefit" over best supportive care in patients with advanced malignant melanoma who have received previous therapy. Best supportive care consists of the best individualized care to mitigate symptoms and improve quality of life. Bristol-Myers will now negotiate a price for Yervoy with Germany's Statutory Health Insurance Funds Association (GKV-Spitzenverband). ...
