GSK removes HGSI executives after initial close of tender offer

GlaxoSmithKline plc (LSE:GSK; NYSE:GSK) replaced the executives of Human Genome Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:HGSI) with GSK employees following the initial close of the pharma's tender offer to acquire the biotech. GSK appointed Deirdre Connelly as president and CEO of Human Genome and Adrian Rawcliffe as CFO. Connelly is president, North America pharmaceuticals at GSK. Rawcliffe is SVP of finance for North America pharmaceuticals at GSK. Connelly replaces H. Thomas Watkins, while Rawcliffe replaces David Southwell. ...
