WIPO, BVGH launch IP database for tropical diseases

The World Intellectual Property Organization and BIO Ventures for Global Health launched WIPO Re:Search, a public database of shared IP for the development of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics for neglected tropical diseases, including malaria and tuberculosis (TB). Joining WIPO and BVGH are eight companies, as well as a group of not-for-profits and research institutions. The IP is available on a royalty-free basis for the sale of any products for tropical diseases in "least developed countries." The IP is also available for research purposes in any country. ...
