Glaxo sues Genentech, Roche

Glaxo (GLX; LSE:GLXO) said it filed suit against DNA in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and against Roche (SWX:ROCZ) in a German court in Duesseldorf alleging infringement of a GLX patent covering certain antibodies and their antigens. The antibodies include those to treat breast cancer and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). In the U.S., GLX alleges that DNA infringed its U.S. Patent No. 5,633,162 by making, using and selling monoclonal antibodies derived from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells grown using the method covered by the '162 patent. ...
