Genomic Health reports data for prostate cancer assay

Genomic Health Inc. (NASDAQ:GHDX) and researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, reported that the Oncotype DX prostate cancer assay met the primary endpoint in a clinical validation study by prospectively predicting adverse pathology from prostate needle biopsy tumor tissue samples. The company declined to disclose detailed data from the study, which analyzed biopsies from patients with early stage prostate cancer.
