Bristol-Myers' brivanib misses Phase III endpoint

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY) said oral brivanib missed the primary endpoint of non-inferiority to sorafenib in improving overall survival in the Phase III BRISK-FL trial to treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The double-blind, international trial enrolled 1,155 patients. Details were not disclosed. Bristol-Myers said it is considering options for the product's development program, but added that ongoing trials of brivanib will continue at this time. ...
