Icos reports pooled Cialis data

ICOS said pooled data from a total of 972 erectile dysfunction patients in four Phase III trials of Cialis tadalafil showed that 20 mg of the product improved erections in 81% of patients compared to 35% of placebo patients. In a subset of men with diabetes, Cialis improved erections in 76% of patients. Data were presented at the Congress of the European Society for Sexual and Impotence Research in Rome.

Three of the trials in the pooled analysis had not been previously reported, and the fourth was presented at the American Urological Association meeting earlier this year. That study showed significantly improved erections in 85% of 20 mg Cialis patients. ICOS said that erection improvements were significant in both the pooled analysis and in each individual trial.
