IMNX brings in a fan

Immunex Corp. on Friday announced it hired Edward Fritzky as chairman and chief executive officer, looking within its parent company, the Lederle Laboratories division of American Cyanamid Co., to find its long-awaited new leadership.

Fritzky, who was president of Lederle Laboratories from 1992 and vice president since 1989, succeeded Steven Gillis, who was acting CEO. Gillis, a founder of the Seattle-based company, resumed his position as executive vice president of IMNX and president and CEO of the company's R&D subsidiary...
