OXFORD - The U.K. arm of Friends of the Earth has written to the home addresses of more than 200 directors of companies and institutes engaged in plant biotech, threatening that they may be liable for any health and environmental damage GMO food and crops may cause.
The warning comes in a letter from Charles Secrett, executive director of FOE. Companies whose directors have been written to include AgrEvo, AstraZeneca, Monsanto and Novartis. Secrett also has written to directors of publicly funded institutes.
