WASHINGTON - Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee staff are looking into Jane Henney's experience at FDA under David Kessler in an effort to shed some light on her attitudes toward issues that she would face as commissioner. But according to Labor Committee staff, Republicans feel they don't have enough information to make even a preliminary judgement about her suitability.
One thing they do know is that Henney is strongly endorsed by Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), the ranking Democrat on the panel, and that her husband, Robert Graham, worked for Kennedy from 1979-1980.
