Friedman's staying power

WASHINGTON - Despite continuing rumors about the impending nomination of Jane Henney to be FDA commissioner, most signs point to Michael Friedman remaining at the top of the agency at least until January.
In what could be a signal that she expects Friedman to stay on board for some time to come, HHS Secretary Donna Shalala earlier this month changed his title from "Lead Deputy Commissioner" to "Acting Commissioner."...
