Shalala's list of Kessler replacements

WASHINGTON - The process of selecting a nominee for FDA Commissioner to present to Congress should be completed in May, according to Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala.

Appearing with Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) at a private meeting with biotech executives at Genzyme Corp.'s Tissue Repair division, Shalala said she will send a list of 10 potential nominees to the White House by the end of April and expects to announce a final nominee in May. ...
