FDA rhetoric belies reality of calendar

WASHINGTON - The drumbeat for FDA reform emanating from Capitol Hill grew louder last week with the introduction of medical device reform legislation, a hearing examining charges that the agency's informal rulemaking violates federal law, and a vow from House Speaker Newt Gingrich to radically reform the agency.
