Wyden questions Genentech and Eli Lily on hGH

WASHINGTON - Rep. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., continuing his investigation of allegations of wrong doing by manufacturers and distributors of human growth hormone, last week sent letters requesting a wide array of information from Genentech Inc. and Eli Lilly and Co.

Wyden, the chairman of the House small business subcommittee on regulation, business opportunities, and technology, is "concerned that some activities by growth hormone drug manufacturers and their agents may be expanding sales and use of these drugs for treatment purposes not specified under the FDA's approved regimen," according to the letters...
