Biotech investor, banker and analyst personnel changes

Jonathan Leff will step down as managing director at Warburg Pincus effective Jan. 1, to join Deerfield Management as a partner. Leff also will take on a newly established position as chairman of the Deerfield Institute, where he will lead a 20-person staff dedicated to using the firm's research to help better inform public policy debate and advance medical innovation. Leff serves on the boards of both the Biotechnology Industry Organization's Emerging Companies Section and the National Venture Capital Association. Deerfield has over $3.5 billion under management.
